This isn't MY screenshot, but a very similar one I saw posted in another forum. Note, this is the kind of graphic anomaly I am seeing. Leads me to believe there is something about backward compatibility between DX 9 and DX 6 (or whatever previous versions the games were built to). Funny.got the exact same behavior on some other games.
Perfectly playable, if fugly with defaults.Įdit2: OK, whenever I select any Hardware accelerated rez, I get the spikes and tearing with or without any Glide Wrapper. Again, maybe some Glide Wrapper settings would help? Activating Accelerated mode leads to corrupt graphics. every time I try 32 bit, I get funky purple windowed CGA graphics (ouch!).
Ideas? Will try just doing the res change without the 32 bit and see what happens.but it seems like the two should work together?Įdit: Ok. XWA crashed on startup and I had to do a system reboot to get out. Probably should have tried it out first, but then I ran the Changeres and replaced the 640x480 with 1680x1050. I started with XWHacker and ran the 32 bit bat file. Guess I will install all that Bling and see what happens. I'm now running this game at 1920 x 1080 with graphics that make it look a year or two old rather than 13 years old. Renew and intensify your Star Wars: X-Wing games The Firespray-class patrol craft is a favorite of bounty hunters like Jango Fett, who use its robust chassis. Holy cow, I just installed XWAHacker and the XWA Upgrade material.
